    Position Summary

    We are seeking an experienced, reliable Payroll Specialist to join our growing company.  In this position you will oversee payroll operations for multiple states, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.  You will work with a team of skilled professionals in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment, demonstrating precision and expertise, in order to maximize efficiency and productivity.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Brief description of duties & responsibilities:

    1. Resolution resource for field HR Contacts regarding payroll and policy questions.
    2. Audit calculations and entries for New Hires, Re-Hires, Termination, Transfers and Promotions.
    3. Audit Payroll HR Assistant’s Time Clock Review and assist with communication to managers and field HR Contacts.
    4. Review Payroll Batch Variance Report for +/- 10% variances.
    5. Responsible to ensure accurate use of pay codes, following wage and hour guidelines.
    6. Responsible to ensure accurate use of pay codes and pay rates for services, following wage and hour guidelines.
    7. Adhere to internal control processes including payroll balancing and other internal controls for SOX compliance.
    8. Effectively communicate with appropriate staff and branches on payroll issues for resolution.
    9. Assist with, review, and follow up on payroll reports, as requested.
    10. Maintain strict confidentiality of all payroll information.


    Work experience and education required for position:

    1. High School diploma.
    2. Two to four years’ payroll processing experience and/or human resources support.
    3. Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment.
    4. Detail oriented, good organizational skills.
    5. Experience with Human Resources and Payroll systems (required).


    Special Skills Required:

    1. Fluency in English.
    2. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
