    Position Summary

    The BI Analytics Director is responsible for directing the management, development, and integration of data analytics and business intelligence necessary for supporting the mission, vision strategies, objectives, and goals of the company.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Job Summary

    Create and implement various reports, dashboards, data warehouses, and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) cubes as required. Maintain and enhance Business Intelligence (BI) platform. Integrate data from multiple source systems and display the data appropriately for various roles and functions within the organization. Specific duties include: utilize business process models, technical designs and information models to provide management and strategic business units with various business reports and propose business solutions; transform business requirements in data models, data flows, and front-end applications. The Director of BI & Analytics reports to the VP of Technology.

     

     

     

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Engage with functional business leaders to define and prioritize BI and Analytics requirements. 
    • The candidate may be required to be "on-call" outside of normal working hours, to remediate failing servers from home or the office, in order to maintain the company's high standard of service availability, and/or to perform off-hours system maintenance, such as security updates and software upgrades.
    • Come up with ideas as to how to extend the platform for the benefit of various internal departments.
    • Plan and execute data analysis, data cleansing, data quality, work flow management and data delivery.
    • Transform the Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse to build the roles, skills, processes and collaboration with other IT teams necessary to dramatically shorten solution delivery speed and improve client satisfaction

    Qualifications

    • Proven track record of success at building innovative reporting and analytics solutions and driving enterprise-wide adoption
    • 10+ years professional IT experience with progressive growth in responsibility and scope
    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Data Analytics; Master’s degree or MBA desired.
    • ASP.NET, C#.NET and Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SSAS and SSRS); and
      Data warehousing, BI concepts (OLAP, hierarchies, aggregation, analysis and integration), dimensional modeling and maintaining ETL processes.

     Working conditions and physical requirements

    • travel required (< 20%)
    • Frequently required to sit for long periods of time
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
    • Performance duties require the employee to regularly reach with hands and arms, type, speak and hear
