    Position Summary

    This position will provide legal and administrative support to the Company’s attorneys and distribution team.  The Legal Administrator will provide general administrative support, intellectual property and regulatory compliance support (including preparing and submitting FCC filings), and contract management support.   

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Supporting the Company’s attorneys and distribution team in all matters.
    • Drafting, reviewing and revising a wide range of regulatory filings, including applications for licenses, permits, registrations, renewals.
    • Performing research as requested.
    • General administrative support.
    • Contract database management support.
    • Other duties in support of the Nexstar legal and distribution departments as assigned.

     

    Requirements & Skills:

    • Must be highly detail oriented.
    • Fluency in English.
    • Excellent communication and writing skills, critical analysis skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and to handle multiple work assignments contemporaneously.
    • Advanced Microsoft Word/Excel/Powerpoint knowledge.

     

    Physical Demands & Work Environment:

    The Legal Administrator must be able to sit, reach, conduct telephone conversations, use electronic mail, write letters and memos, conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups, make decisions without supervision, make decisions that impact the results of co-workers, and work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.  Repetitive movements are required.
