    Position Summary

    Nexstar Broadcasting, Inc. has an immediate opening for the position of Senior Vice President & Regional Manager.  This position will have direct oversight of several markets on a regional basis and will report directly to the President of Nexstar Broadcasting, Inc.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in communications and a minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience in television management and sales, with demonstrated proficiency in various leadership roles.  Prior experience as a television station General Manager is essential. 


    Along with a proven track record of success in growing revenues, controlling expenses and developing local television viewership through local news and programming, the successful candidate should be able to bring an innovative approach to established and proven television and digital business models, resulting in improved efficiencies and business unit growth.  The successful candidate must possess superior presentation and communication skills.  Frequent travel is required.


    The Senior Vice President & Regional Manager will be responsible for providing daily management and guidance of multiple General Managers in individual Nexstar Media Group television markets.  In concert with other corporate personnel, the Senior Vice President & Regional Manager is responsible for the achievement and growth of their assigned markets’ performance metrics by, and not limited to, the creation and expansion of local linear and digital content, development and execution of local business alliances and related special projects and deployment of corporate business strategies and initiatives.  Special emphasis is placed upon developing new business and evaluating locally-originated programming.  Additionally, the position requires responsibility for monitoring of budgeted revenue goals and operational expenses including the approval of local market budgets, preparation of quarterly revenue forecasts and other financial analyses.
